REV. ALEESE MOORE-ORBIH, D. Min.


Rev. Dr. Aleese Moore-Orbih is an Ordained Pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church. Aleese’s goal is to help develop community partnerships that leverage and celebrate differences in cultures, expertise and resources to create effective strategies in intervention and prevention of family violence. Her passion and research focuses on the effects and risks of children’s exposed to domestic violence.

Aleese has 10 years of pastoral care, women’s discipleship and community development experience. She founded “I Wish It Would Stop” an advocacy program for teens exposed to domestic violence in collaboration with Shelters Against Violent Environments. Aleese served on Southern Alameda County’s Domestic Violence Prevention Task Force.

Aleese served as Project Manager for Advocacy for Victims of Abuse (AVA) in the Evangelical Covenant Denomination in Chicago, IL. She provided leadership, training and developed educational resources for the Covenant Denomination to promote, safety and healing for victims of abuse and to help bring an end to violence against women and children.

Aleese has been a trainer and consultant for Faith Trust Institute since 2005.
Currently Aleese is the Director of Training and Consulting for Faith Trust Institute.

Aleese obtained her M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA and Doctor of Ministry at the San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, CA. Dissertation: A Collaborative Community Response to Teenagers Exposed to Domestic Violence.
