Anzala is the Director of Services at the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence. At the Coalition, she manages the statewide Domestic & Sexual Violence Hotline, Women of Color Leadership, Economic Justice, Technology Safety, and Training projects. Anzala has presented technology safety training for numerous domestic and sexual violence programs and was core faculty of the 2008 Advanced New York State Victim Assistance Academy.
Additionally, Anzala presents national and regional trainings/workshops about emerging legal issues, cultural competency, economic justice, technology safety, immigration, and working with faith-based communities.
Prior to joining the Coalition, Anzala worked with Empire Justice Center and the D.C. Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Anzala is the founder of Revelations, Inc., Ana Muslimah Youth Empowerment program and the Muslim Women's Center of the Capital District. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the National Muslim Legal & Education Defense Fund.
Anzala received a Juris Doctor degree at Albany Law School of Union University and a Bachelor of Arts at Purchase College.
